How do I add a new Smart Light product to the app?
Click on the small + in the right corner of the app and select 'Products'. The Smart Light App is now searching for new products. It is important that you keep your mobile or tablet close to your Smart Light product during this process. The Smart Light product will now appear on your screen, click on it and press continue. Your Smart Light product is now installed
Do I always have to use the Smart Light App?
The app is your main instrument to control the light, however you can always turn the light on and off from your regular switch. You can set the timer, schedule your light or use voice control*, so that you don’t have to use the Smart Light App for all daily activities. .
*The Smart Light Bridge is required
Do I need to create an account?
No, not necessarily. You can use the basic features in the Smart Light App without creating an account. However, if you want extra features such as voice control and sharing of settings you must install the Smart Light Bridge, which requires the creation of an account. You can create a user with your email, Facebook or Google account. Remember to say 'yes’ to newsletters, as you will receive tips and tricks for using your Smart Light products here. The usage of all features is free, so there are no initial or monthly costs.

How do I change the language in the Smart Light App?
The app automatically uses the language of your phone. If you wish to change the language, click on ‘settings’ in the menu and then on ‘language’.
How do I create a room in the Smart Light App?
Click on the + in the right corner of the app and select 'Room'. Select the room you would like to create and name it. You can now place your Smart Light products in this room.
How many rooms can I create in the Smart Light App?
You can create a maximum of 9 rooms in the app.
How do I create a group in the Smart Light App?
Click on the + in the right corner of the app and select 'Group'. Name the group and choose which room you will place the group. You can now place your Smart Light products in this group.
How many groups can I create?
Every room can consist of maximum 15 groups. You cannot create groups in ‘My Home’, but only within each room.
Is it possible to move my Smart Light products to different groups?
Yes, but the groups should be in the same room.
Can I place my Smart Light products in different rooms?
Yes, you can have Smart Light products in all rooms in your home. However, one product can only be placed in one room at a time. Therefore, you have the opportunity to create groups within a room where you can place a product in several groups in the same room.
How do I delete a Smart Light product in the Smart Light App?
Find the Smart Light product you would like to delete under ‘My Home’, click on ‘setting’ for the specific product and ‘delete light’. The product will start flashing and is deleted successfully.
If you wish to delete a smart product in a specific room, please find the product in the respective room, click on ‘setting’ and ‘delete light’. The Smart Light product is now deleted in the room, however you can still find the it in ‘My Home’.
How do I reset a Smart Light product to factory settings via a switch?
1. Turn the switch off for 1-2 sec.
2. Turn it on for 1-2 sec.
3. Turn it off for 1-2 sec.
4. Turn it on for 1-2 sec.
5. Turn it off for 1-2 sec.
6. Turn if on.
The Smart Light product will start flashing and is reset successfully.
How do I turn all Smart Light products on/off in the home at the same time?
Click on the ‘My Home’ icon and all lights will be turned on/off.
What is ‘My Home’?
In ‘My Home’ you can find all the Smart Light products you have added, and you can control all lights in the home from this page. If you delete ‘My Home’ all Smart Light products in your home will be deleted.
What is ‘Moods’?
Moods are pre-installed scenes, including night light, relax, read, active and focus. Click on a mood and the product will light up with the pre-installed light temperature (Kelvin) and brightness (Lumen) for the respective mood. You can also easily create a new mood yourself under ‘Moods’ for each product or for a room/group.
How many moods can I create?
In total, you can have 10 moods in the Smart Light App.
Can I edit a mood?
Yes, you can edit the new moods you have created yourself. You can also edit the brightness and light temperature of the pre-installed mood, but it is not possible to edit the name, icon or delete pre-installed moods.
What is ‘Program’?
Program is where you find the timer, schedule and vacation mode* functions, which makes it easy for you to adjust the light to your daily activities. Below you can see what the timer, schedule and vacation mode can do for you.

What is ‘Timer’?
With this feature you can program you lights to solely be turned on/off for a specific time period. To exemplify, you can use the timer function at bedtime, where you set the light to turn off after 10 minutes, when the children must sleep. If you don’t have the Smart Light Bridge, the timer only works with an individual product and you can only turn the light on and off. Conversely, if you have the Smart Light Bridge you can use the timer function for whole rooms and groups and furthermore you can turn the product on in a specific mood. You can set one timer at a time with both Bluetooth and Nordlux Smart Light Bridge.
What is ‘Schedule’?
With this feature you can program your lights to turn on and off at a specific time and day. To exemplify you can schedule your Smart Light products to turn on every day at 6:00 in the morning. If you don’t have the Nordlux Smart Light Bridge, you can only schedule individual products to turn on and off. If you have the Smart Light Bridge you can schedule rooms or groups and furthermore you can turn the products on in a specific mood. With Bluetooth, you can set one schedule at a time, while with the Nordlux Smart Light Bridge you can set as many as you want.

What is ‘Vacation mode’?
Vacation mode makes you feel safer when you are away from you home for several days and can be used to e.g. prevent burglary. When the vacation mode is turned on, the Smart Light products will randomly turn on and off from 6PM to 6AM to simulate that someone is home. The Nordlux Smart Light Bridge is required for this function.
How do I share settings with others?
Nordlux Smart Light Bridge is required for this feature. In order to share the settings with guests or family you must click on ‘Sharing’ in the Menu. A QR-code will be created which the guest or family member must scan in his/her Smart Light App. The guest or family member is now able to control your smart products. You select for how long time the guest/family member should have access to your Smart Light system.
Why should I allow the Smart Light App to use the camera?
When you are invited to control the smart products from a friend or family member you need to scan a QR-code and for that, the app needs access to your camera.
How do I update my Smart Light products?
The firmware update of your products does not require a Nordlux Smart Light Bridge, however, you have to register an account in the Nordlux Smart Light app. When your products must be updated a small red dot will occur at ‘firmware update’ in the menu. Click on this and choose the products you will update.
Voice control
Nordlux Smart Light is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, which means, that you can easily control your products with your voice. Click on "voice control" in the menu and connect to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Press "start" and begin the connection process. Now, follow the instructions on your device.
