Red Dot Design Award

The Red Dot Design Award is a prestigious award given for outstanding design and quality. Only products, projects and concepts that stand out with their exceptional design are awarded this coveted seal of quality by an international jury.

"My idea was to create a timeless lamp series that could be included in the modern home. It was to include our contemporary LED technology with the option to dim the light, thus providing the perfect lighting for working/reading or a cosy coffee on the sofa"

The lamp has several gorgeous qualities, including the lampshade’s flexible swivel mechanism, which allows for a directional light to create optimal lighting conditions.

The floating design of the Stay wall lamp, which has an integrated table, makes the lamp an exciting alternative to a traditional wall lamp.

Common to both the table and wall lamp is their great functional value, as the lamp’s base has an integrated charger station with USB access, and a beautiful and discreet on/off touch function that can also dim the lights.

"We are proud that we have won the Red Dot Award for 4th consecutive year. In our work with Design For The People and in close cooperation with some of the best designers, we strive to develop designs that can contribute positively to people’s everyday lives — both aesthetically and functionally"

- Niels Jakobsen, CEO at Nordlux

Today, the Nordic style is inspired by an international and luxurious feel due to our many travels around the world. This has affected the way we decorate our homes, with a style that provides the expression and feel of a modern designer hotel. Lighting plays an important role as it helps to complete the character and set the tone for a room. The Stay wall and table are perfect examples of how functionality and design can harmonise so that the design is suitable for private homes as well as hotel rooms.

"In projects and hotels, every square metre counts — so the obvious choice was to create a lamp with an integrated table that does not take up too much space. The Stay wall lamp provides a beautiful and effective solution with room for your mobile phone, book, a glass of water and so on"

- Designer Maria Berntsen
