Inspired by a 19th-century malthouse that once stood on the site, The Foxes Maltings is a new-build home that balances modern architectural features with traditional design values. Corten steel intersects the brick façade, the property embodies a deliberate fusion of old and new – a concept carried through every detail of the home.
Lighting played a key role in achieving this vision. The homeowners chose Nordlux for its wide selection of outdoor lights, allowing the exterior lighting to mirror the architectural steel elements in tone and texture. Indoors, carefully selected pendants and decorative bulbs support the home’s modern rustic aesthetic and provide functional light where it’s needed - especially in key spaces like the dining area.
Every lighting decision was made with purpose. “We designed the entire lighting solution ourselves,” the homeowners explain. “We thought about space, task and accent lighting - and Nordlux offered beautifully designed pieces that worked perfectly at each layer.”
