Types of light

Lights illuminate differently, and it is therefore important to choose the right type for the right purpose:

Types of light:

Directional, focused light

Diffused lighting

Upward lighting

Downward lighting

Directional, focused light

This type of light is sharp and precise, like a beam. This type is recommended for the shed or the garage, and is also great for illuminating the house number, the name plate and the letterbox. Spots and lamps for wall-mounting with solid shades are good lamps for this type of lighting.

Diffused lighting

With diffused lighting, the light comes from different directions. Diffused lighting is recommended for lighting in the yard, garden and entrances, and you can benefit from choosing lamps with clear or matte shades.

Upward lighting

Upward lighting only shines upwards. This type of lighting is used specifically to create a particular effect or as additional lighting. The optimal effect is obtained by using uplights or inground spots.

Downward lighting

This type of lighting is used as a marking and orientation lighting, e.g. in the garden or by stairs. Choose lamps for walls or low-placed lamps for this type of light.
